The Face Of Spades Axis Edition is a fuzz based on the legendary Axis Fuzz circuit created for Jimi Hendrix.It’s a very rich sounding fuzz with plenty of bottom end for killer single note lines but can also be used on chords and riffs. It cleans up very nicely with the guitar’s volume control and retains its range of tone. The Axis Edition uses both PNP and NPN silicon, low noise transistors that are used in a configuration that is temperature stable, free from RFI and produces more output and sustain than the traditional Fuzz Face type. It has great bite that punches solos right out. It also has a high input impedance to keep the guitar’s character and quality of tone.

CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS:

VOLUME: Sets overall output level

DRIVE: Controls the amount of fuzz or distortion of the circuit

BYPASS FOOTSWITCH: Utilizes True bypass to bypass the fuzz effect

POWER REQUIREMENTS:

• 9v battery (Carbon-Zinc type recommended) or
• Standard 9v 2.1mm center negative DC power jack (use a 9v isolated Power Supply only!)
